Hello readers! If you are new to my blog, be sure to check out my page and follow my blog for notifications on future posts. If you are a returning reader then welcome back. Be sure to click that like button at the bottom of this post and comment below why you like to travel. For me, travel is part of me and every since I started I haven’t been able to stop. I am definitely a different person because of travel. This post contains all the reasons I think travel is important.
My First Big Trip
May of 2016 is a time that I will never forget. This was when I took my first big trip, and that destination was Europe. We started in Edinburgh, Scotland for 4 days and ended it with 3 days in London, England. I have traveled a lot in my life and this was quite honestly the best trip of my life. It really did change me. It inspired me to start this blog and it sparked an excitement for travel. Plus, it was a Harry Potter inspired trip with my school; following a Harry Potter class in which we discussed the Rowling novels in great detail. The Travel Bug
Ever since I was little, I have flown on an airplane. This mostly involved flights to Florida for our summer vacation and he occasional flight to Pennsylvania to visit my great-grandmother (a 4ft, Pennsylvania Dutch, woman who turned 97 today in fact). After my trip to Europe, I took to the air and made trips to California (yes, we went to Disneyland), Washington, D.C., Wilmington, N.C. (My Trip To Tree Hill), and even New York (also, yes for the Cursed Child play- AMAZING). These trips may never have happened if not for that first one, and now travel is part of who I am.
Why Travel Is Indeed Important- My Humble Opinion
Travel is , as I said, a huge part of my life. If I could acquire a position to travel the world and get paid for it, I would be the first in line. Those jobs usually come with a YouTube/Celebrity career tag, so a bit out of my reach. I believe that travel is important because this world is HUGE; there is so much untapped potential. By traveling, we open ourselves up to new and exciting experiences, we discover parts of ourselves we didn’t know existed, and we learn about the world around us. I have, of course, created quite the bucket list since my big trip. I am beyond dedicated to completing it.
Without that first big trip, I wouldn’t have the friends I now have, I wouldn’t have the wonderful memories, and I wouldn’t have attended those other adventures. Travel is important because it allows us to live in someone else’s world if only just for a little while. It is a great way to become well rounded and make some great memories. Without that first trip, in fact, I wouldn’t be writing this post and I definitely wouldn’t be managing a WordPress blog. I just simply wouldn’t be the person I am today: writer, dreamer, explorer.
