Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post. If you are a new reader then be sure to visit my page for more content. If you are a returning reader, then welcome back. This week I graduated from college (without a ceremony of course). I have officially graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. It has been a long four years with ups and downs alike. I am so sad that I now have to wait until August to celebrate my college career ending. Anyways, here are my thoughts on graduating college.
The Setback
Four years of studying, exams, mental health days, fast food, working on the weekends, and dealing with difficult people has come and gone. All of that build-up, and now, a three month delay on my celebration. My family and I have become resourceful and have decided to hold a personal celebration as I walk across my front porch with my cap and gown on.
The Present
Now is my time to focus on finding my long-term employment with my newfound degree. I am also in the midst of saving up for my future. This includes saving to find an apartment this year. For now, I will sit on my couch with my Netflix and book, and wait for the world to reopen.
The Future
My future holds travel, financial stability, and a healthy living. I wait for my life on my own and my dreaded adulthood responsibilities. One thing I know for sure (off topic), my future does not hold the next season of Riverdale; such a let down. Anyways, I can’t wait to have my savings full and my dreams realized.
